Constitutive Law

This MPM material is identical to an Isotropic material in the elastic regime, but can plastically deform according to any selected hardening law.

Material Properties

The hardening law is selected with a plasticLaw property. The remaining properties are identical to an isotropic material:

Property Description Units Default
plasticLaw This command selects the hardening law by its name or number. It should be before entering any yielding properties. none none
(yield) Enter all plasticity properties required by the selected hardening law. varies varies
(other) All other properties are identical the properties for an isotropic material. varies varies

History Variables

The material has none, but the hardening law will have at least one.
